The Food Pantry at Good Shepherd has been around for decades, but since the start of the pandemic it has grown to become the life-line it is today for so many food-insecure people in our community. Often, people visit the food pantry for temporary relief from hunger. Sometimes people are having to make choices between a car repair and food; a doctor visit and food; rent or food. Some are homeless or about to be. We strive to give relief, hope, a friendly face, a sustaining meal, a little bit of joy and comfort to those who ask. We are so grateful for the generosity of our friends in the community and our parish who make this possible.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat..." -Matthew 25:35
The continued donations of food from parishioners, people in our neighborhood, and our community partners enable us to continue this ministry. Your food donations continue to be important! We accept donations of non-perishable food items:
Sometimes the pantry is in dire need of a particular item or category of food. To let you know what we need most, we have a handy graphic that you can access from your phone while you're in the grocery store!
Please reach us at mail@goodsheponline.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Tuesdays, 11 AM - 2 PM
No. We may ask how many in your family so that we know how many people we are serving, but we will not require identification.
Please let us know when you drive up so that we can substitute another item. We have a little flexibility to meet dietary requirements.
We ask everyone to keep in mind that we are an emergency food pantry. If you are in dire need of food, struggling, need temporary help, or are having a sudden financial setback, you are welcome. If you are hungry, we will give you food. We do not turn anyone away who is hungry.
In certain circumstances, we may be able to make arrangements for you. Please speak to an attendant at the Food Pantry or call the office for assistance. 561-746-4674
Good Shepherd's Food Pantry is supported by donations of food from our parishioners, people in our neighborhood, and community partners. We don't receive any financial support by any government agencies or civic groups. Donations of food or cash donations are our primary source. Online giving is also available on the Giving page of this website.
